art

a little bit about my art journey - I've always loved art and was in art classes in school growing up. the earliest memory I have of being proud of something I created is in first grade. we painted self portraits. my art teacher chose my painting as one to be hung in the Missouri state capitol. some of my classmates and I took a field trip there and met some republican senator (I think it was Charlie Shields - fuck you buddy) but at the time I thought I was the shit. I took it all 4 years in high school and was going to pursue art therapy in college but got ~scared~ so yay. I'm currently most interested in collaging but I'm trying to also actually teach myself how to draw from the ground up using Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. I also want to get a sewing machine in the next few months, as I've been practicing hand stitching more and just bought a bunch of new fabric, buttons, and a sewing kit.

will likely contain WIPS, stuff I've done, etc.
